Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common clinical and operational questions regarding our service.

What eating disorders do you treat?

We treat anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and related conditions including orthorexia and compulsive exercise; also where indicated - ADHD, autistic spectrum disorder, addictions, OCD, depression and anxiety, all of which may sit alongside an eating disorder.

Do you offer assessments for adults and young people?

We assess adults and adolescents over 14.

Can you support someone taking a GLP-1 medication?

GLP-1 receptor agonists (Mounjaro, Wegovy and liraglutide) are increasingly prescribed for weight management and metabolic conditions. For people with a history of eating disorders these require careful clinical consideration. We can provide specialist assessment and monitoring for patients currently taking or considering GLP-1 medication, working alongside your prescribing clinician to ensure your mental and physical health are both protected.

Do you work with patients with neurodiversity?

Our team has extensive experience of working with neurodivergent individuals, particularly ADHD and autism spectrum conditions and we adapt treatment accordingly, drawing on approaches that account for both the eating disorder and the underlying neurodiversity profile.

Do you work with other clinicians?

Where necessary we liaise with other colleagues experienced in eating disorders with additional skills, eg ADHD and autism spectrum assessments, family therapy, appropriate specialist medical practitioners.
